Non-dilutive capital is the cheapest money you'll ever raise: no cap-table dilution, no repayment on true grants, and a validation signal for the round that follows. The trade-off is competitive selection and reporting.

Frequently asked questions

What founders ask about equity-free funding.

What does equity-free funding mean?
The funder gives you capital without taking shares in your company. Grants and prize money are the common forms — you don't repay them and you don't dilute.
Is equity-free funding better than VC?
It's cheaper in ownership terms and great early on, but amounts are usually smaller and selection is competitive. Many founders stack grants first, then raise equity for scale.
Are there strings attached?
Usually milestones and reporting rather than financial claims. Each programme's conditions are summarised on its detail page.
