Who can apply
To apply for SCIDIP, your startup must be working on concepts or ideas related to e-mobility, smart mobility, or safe and clean mobility, with clear intellectual property potential and strong commercial prospects. Your product or process innovation must demonstrate substantial market potential or disruptiveness.
Your project should have well-defined objectives for validating a proof of concept and generating the scientific data needed to de-risk the technology. The Entrepreneur Project Leader or Principal Investigator must be an Indian citizen and technically qualified—holding a postgraduate degree in sciences or engineering—and must commit to full-time engagement upon grant approval.
Your company must be registered as a Private Limited Entity under the Indian Companies Act, 2013, or be incorporated within 6 months of joining the program. The date of incorporation must be within the past 5 years from the application date, and the total annual cash inflow (from funding, grants, or revenue) must not exceed ₹2.5 crore in any fiscal year since incorporation. Additionally, a majority stake (more than 51%) and control must be held by resident Indian citizens.
