How we verify every listing.
A funding listing is only useful if it's correct. Here's exactly how we research, verify, write and maintain the programmes on startupfunds.in.

Where our facts come from
Every funding programme on this site is built from primary sources: the scheme's official guidelines, government circulars and notifications, the funder's own application portal, and published programme documentation. Where a figure is ambiguous across sources, we defer to the most recent official document and note any uncertainty.
What we verify before publishing
For each programme we confirm and record the core facts a founder needs to make a decision:
- Funding amount — the cheque size or range, and whether it's a grant, subsidy, equity or debt.
- Eligibility — stage, sector, entity type, founder criteria and any registration requirement (e.g. DPIIT, Udyam).
- Deadline & status — whether the programme is open, closed or rolling, and the next window where known.
- How to apply — the official application route and the canonical apply URL.
How we write
We summarise programmes in our own words. We reuse the underlying facts — amounts, deadlines, eligibility rules, apply links — because those are objective, but we never copy official prose verbatim. Our descriptions are written to be read quickly and understood by a first-time founder, not to mirror a circular.
Keeping listings current
Funding programmes change — windows open and close, amounts get revised, portals move. We periodically re-check listings against their sources and update status accordingly, so an "open" label on this site reflects our most recent review. The official source link on every programme is always the final word; if a deadline is close, confirm it there before you rely on it.
Corrections
If you spot something out of date or wrong — a changed deadline, a revised amount, a dead link — please tell us. We treat correction reports as a priority and update the listing once we've re-verified against the source. Email team@startupfunds.in or use our contact form.
Editorial independence
Our listings are not for sale. A funder cannot pay to be listed, to be ranked higher, or to have unfavourable facts removed. We may earn from optional referrals or affiliate links, but that never affects which programmes we list or what we say about them.
Not professional advice
Our content is informational. It is not legal, financial, tax or investment advice, and a listing is not a guarantee of eligibility or approval. Always confirm details on the official programme page and consult a qualified advisor for your specific situation. See our disclaimer for the full terms.
