Overview

Simandhar Education presents the Finance Case Competition 2025, a nationwide contest inviting finance students and working professionals to tackle a practical corporate finance problem. Participants will analyze 'Project Sankalp,' a ₹570 million AI-driven expansion, and assess its potential to create shareholder value. The competition offers a hands-on opportunity to apply skills like beta estimation, WACC computation, DCF valuation, and sensitivity analysis, resulting in a board-ready recommendation.

The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled in India, as well as working professionals. Each participant can be part of only one team, and inter-college or inter-specialization teams are encouraged. The contest proceeds through three rounds.

Round 1 - Finance & Aptitude Quiz: An online MCQ quiz on Unstop with 40 questions in 45 minutes, covering CAPM, beta, WACC, DCF, cost of capital, financial ratios, and quantitative aptitude. Negative marking applies. This round is individual.

Round 2 - Case Study Submission: Qualifiers receive the full case pack. Teams of 1 to 3 members (formed after Round 1) must submit an Excel financial model and a PowerPoint deck (max 15 slides) within 7 to 10 days after Round 1 results.

Final Round - Live Presentation: The top 5-7 teams present online via Google Meet/Zoom to a panel of senior finance experts. Each team gets 10 minutes to present, followed by an 8 to 10 minute Q&A session.
