Solutions are sought in diverse areas including farm mechanization, precision agriculture, dairy and livestock management, natural resource management, circular agriculture, water conservation, irrigation, post-harvest management, storage, processing, logistics, and broader agricultural value chains.

Participants gain access to a comprehensive ecosystem of expert guidance, strategic partnerships, and pathways to further funding and market integration. The program aims to create a ripple effect by improving agricultural productivity, reducing post-harvest losses, strengthening farmer institutions, increasing adoption of climate-resilient technologies, and ultimately enhancing farmer incomes through scalable, community-based solutions.

This challenge is open to registered startups and SMEs incorporated within the last 10 years, offering prototype, pilot-tested, or market-ready solutions for rural and peri-urban agricultural challenges across India. Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) are also eligible if they have at least two years of operations, active farmer membership, and experience in agricultural services or market linkages. The FPC track has a specific geographic focus on Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Applicants should be developing climate-smart, affordable, and scalable innovations for smallholder farmers.

Greenovation Agri Mechanization Challenge accepts applications on a rolling basis — there is no fixed cut-off date, so eligible startups can apply at any time. Because rolling programmes can pause without notice, confirm the window is still open on the official site before you start.

Winners will share in a prize pool of up to ₹20 lakh, providing non-repayable capital to develop and scale their solutions. Beyond direct funding, participants gain access to a three-and-a-half-day residential bootcamp offering intensive training, expert mentorship, and networking opportunities with industry leaders and potential partners. High-potential startups may also secure an opportunity to access the EarthON Gurukul acceleration program, which includes significant funding support of up to ₹1 crore. Additionally, eligible FPCs can pursue debt funding of up to ₹25 lakh through the ONganic Accelerator. The program also facilitates pilot opportunities, market access support, strategic partnerships, and enhanced industry visibility, enabling ventures to scale their impact across India's agricultural landscape.

Applications are evaluated through a multi-stage process.
