Tripura Fair Participation Subsidy — 50% Up to ₹1 Lakh

The Tripura Fair Participation Subsidy is one of the incentives offered under the Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022 (TIIPIS 2022). It is administered by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, and it exists to lower the cost of putting a Tripura industrial enterprise in front of buyers at fairs and exhibitions.

Under this head, a unit that exhibits at a State level or national level fair can recover 50% of what it spent on travel for one person and on moving its goods to the venue, subject to a maximum of ₹1 lakh for that single participation. A unit may claim for at most two fairs in a year. That two-fair rule governs how often a claim can be made; it does not raise the rupee ceiling, so exhibiting twice does not create a ₹2 lakh entitlement.

This is a standalone head — incentive 10 of TIIPIS 2022. It sits separately from the scheme's export-promotion subsidy and from the State transport subsidy for secondary raw materials, and it is claimed through the TIIPIS 2022 process rather than a separate application window.

The support is a reimbursement. It is not a loan and no equity is taken, so a founder's shareholding is untouched and the amount received does not have to be paid back. There is no advertised closing date: the head stays open and claims are filed on a rolling basis as and when a unit participates.

The incentive is meant for industrial enterprises of Tripura that take their products to fairs and exhibitions. To claim:

• The claimant has to be an eligible industrial enterprise of Tripura, filing under TIIPIS 2022.
• The event must be a State level or national level fair or exhibition.
• Reimbursement covers travel for one person from the unit, along with the cost of transporting goods to the venue.
• At most two fairs may be claimed in a single year.
• An international fair can be claimed only where prior approval has been obtained.
• This clause prescribes no sector list. Startup India (DPIIT) recognition is not a condition, and there is no relocation requirement.

Claims are routed through the State's SWAAGAT single-window portal.

There is no competition, no pitch round and no ranking of applicants against one another. The Department of Industries and Commerce screens each claim against the fairs clause of TIIPIS 2022.

The verification covers:

• that the claimant is an eligible industrial enterprise;
• that the event is a State level or national level fair, or that prior approval exists for an international fair;
• that travel has been claimed for one person only, with goods transport on top of it;
• that the claim stays within the ₹1 lakh ceiling for that participation;
• that no more than two fairs have been claimed during the year.

Where a claim breaks the one-person travel rule, the per-participation limit or the yearly participation count, it is trimmed or refused. Once verified, 50% of eligible costs is reimbursed, capped at ₹1 lakh for that fair.
