ISGBB supports technology-driven solutions focused on critical social challenges in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana. The program emphasizes development, rigorous validation, and widespread deployment of scalable solutions to maximize social impact. It is open to startups, social enterprises, non-profit innovation organizations, and individual innovators whose solutions are at the MVP or growth stage. Notably, ISGBB does not provide direct monetary funding; instead it offers non-monetary support including deployment opportunities, strategic mentorship, networking, and national visibility.

Solutions must be at the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage or growth stage, demonstrating readiness for deployment and scaling. The initiative primarily targets innovators operating in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana. Solutions should address critical challenges in sectors such as Healthcare, Ed-Tech, Sustainability, Waste Management, Agriculture/Rural Livelihoods, Water & Sanitation, and Skilling & Employment. DPIIT Startup Recognition is not mandatory but is requested in the application form.
