Selection process
The selection process involves a multi-stage evaluation:
First Level Selection: A technical expert committee, comprising representatives from academia, research, and predominantly industry, conducts the initial screening. Proposals are evaluated based on technical innovation, feasibility, technology readiness level, and preliminary technical data.
Second Round (Presentation): Shortlisted candidates are invited to present their techno-commercial plans. The selection committee includes representation from industry, financial bodies, investors, and FITT. Evaluation focuses on technical strength, entrepreneurial intent, the strength of intellectual property, team capabilities, and the overall business plan.
Due Diligence: FITT conducts thorough due diligence for selected applicants, reconfirming eligibility, legal, technical, and financial assessments, ensuring access to necessary resources, compliance with safety and EHS requirements, and budget justifications. Milestones and payment schedules are finalized, and agreements are signed with the incubatees.
