• Documentation: the application package typically carries a detailed project report, land ownership or lease documents, environmental clearance certificates, financial projections, and evidence of compliance with the policy's guidelines and technical specifications, in the prescribed formats and annexures.
• Preliminary screening: submitted proposals are first checked for completeness and basic eligibility. Incomplete applications may be sent back for rectification.
• Technical and financial evaluation: eligible applications go to an expert committee, which examines the project's viability, the developer's financial capacity, the likely impact on the logistics sector, and how well the proposal aligns with the policy's strategic objectives. Adherence to urban planning and environmental regulations is verified at this stage.
• Approval and grant of exemption: once the competent authority gives final approval, the 75% development charge exemption is formally granted. The benefit is usually realised through adjustments to payable fees or waivers at different stages of project development.

Projects showing strong potential to strengthen the state's logistics capabilities, and which meet every mandated requirement, are prioritised for approval.
