How to Apply for UP Land Use Conversion Charges Concession — 75% Waiver for Logistics Parks

Applications are first screened by the designated department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, with submissions made through the state's Nivesh Mitra portal. The application has to set out the proposed Logistics Park — site plans, project timelines, estimated investment and how the project meets the policy's requirements and objectives.

Supporting documents are required alongside it, typically including proof of land ownership or a long-term lease, a detailed project report, financial projections and the relevant statutory approvals.

The proposal then goes through a comprehensive review by the relevant state authorities. They check eligibility and technical feasibility, and assess the project on four main counts:

• viability of the project as proposed
• the investment it brings in
• adherence to environmental and urban planning regulations
• the impact it would have on the state's logistics capabilities

Once due diligence is complete, the concession is granted to projects that demonstrate real potential to strengthen logistics infrastructure and add to economic growth in the state.
