How much funding can a unit receive, and does it cover the full certification bill?
A single unit can be reimbursed up to ₹25 lakh, and within that ceiling the scheme covers costs for a maximum of three certifications. Which certifications are covered by this scheme?

Who is eligible to apply?
The applicant has to be an IT/ITeS company operating in Uttar Pradesh, must count as a new unit under the policy, and must show a minimum fixed capital investment of ₹2 crore. It also has to hold a qualifying quality or IT certification that it has already secured.
Can an existing company claim this, or only a new unit?
The policy is written for new units, so a business that falls outside the policy's definition of a new unit is unlikely to qualify. The policy document carries the exact definition of a new unit, so it is worth checking that before you apply.
Is there an application deadline?
No. The scheme is rolling and open at all times, so there is no cut-off date by which an application must be filed. You can submit once your certification is in hand and your documentation is ready.
Is this a grant or a loan, and does the government take equity?
Neither a grant nor a loan — it is a reimbursement, which is a form of subsidy. The company pays for the certification and the state returns the eligible cost. Nothing needs to be repaid, and no stake in the company is taken.
Do I need DPIIT or MSME registration to apply?
The scheme's stated eligibility criteria do not mention DPIIT or MSME registration. What they do require is that the applicant is a new IT/ITeS unit in Uttar Pradesh with at least ₹2 crore of fixed capital investment and a qualifying certification already obtained.
What documents are typically needed?
