Selection process
There is no pitch or interview stage. The Department of Industries and Commerce works with the District Industries Centre to scrutinise the claim file.
The checking covers three things:
- Whether the claimant is an eligible industrial enterprise in Tripura.
- Whether the Standard Certification sits within the 12 selected areas and was granted by a national or international body.
- Whether any know-how claim is a one-time fee paid to a recognised national or international organisation.
Claims are refused where the issuer is not recognised, where the certification falls outside the selected twelve, or where a second technology-transfer fee is claimed after the one-time benefit has already been used.
Where the claim is approved, the eligible fees are reimbursed in full, since the clause sets no rupee cap.
