It is a reimbursement scheme under the Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024, run by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Rajasthan. Micro and small manufacturers in the state that invest in advanced technology or software for their production or manufacturing operations can claim part of that spending back from the government.

The maximum is ₹5,00,000 per unit, paid once as a reimbursement. The payout is also limited to 50% of the cost you actually incurred on the technology or software, so whichever of the two figures is lower decides your final amount.

Micro and Small Enterprises located in Rajasthan are eligible if they hold a valid Udyam Registration Certificate, the technology they bought is connected to their production or manufacturing process, and the purchase has produced a performance improvement certified by a Chartered Engineer. The unit must also be in commercial production when the money is disbursed.

Yes. A valid Udyam Registration Certificate is one of the stated eligibility conditions, so an enterprise without it should complete Udyam registration before applying.

No. This is a reimbursement-based subsidy, so the government does not acquire shares, board seats or any ownership stake in the enterprise. There is no equity dilution involved in availing the assistance.

Anything directly tied to your production or manufacturing process qualifies — drawings, designs, plant, machinery and software are all covered. The technology can be sourced from premier national institutes such as IISc, IITs, NITs, NIDs and CSIR, or from any other government-approved institution.

You need a Chartered Engineer to certify the improvement. The scheme recognises gains such as at least a 10% rise in production rate, a 5% reduction in cycle time, a 2.5% drop in rejection rate, or a 10% fall in waste generation. That certificate is verified during the evaluation of your application.

There are two routes. You can download the application form (Annexure 3.1) from the official Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024 guidelines, fill it in, attach self-attested copies of the required documents and submit the signed set to the General Manager of your District Industries & Commerce Centre. Alternatively, you can apply online through the e-Mitra portal at https://emitra.rajasthan.gov.in/emitra/home, either at a nearby e-Mitra centre or from your own e-Mitra account. The online application is free of cost.

After. The application is meant to be submitted once the technology has been acquired and deployed, because the scheme reimburses spending that has already happened rather than sanctioning money in advance.

There is no fixed cut-off. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and the scheme itself remains in effect until 31 March 2029.

In cases where several machines are acquired, only one machine of a similar nature is eligible for assistance. Duplicate claims for the same type of equipment are not entertained.

The General Manager at your District Industries & Commerce Centre scrutinises the application, including the Chartered Engineer's certificate. The District Level Task Force Committee then approves, partially approves or rejects it. If it is cleared, an approval letter is issued and the funds reach your registered bank account.
