How to Apply for PEACE: Detailed Energy Audit — 75% Subsidy up to ₹1L for TN MSMEs

Engage a qualified auditor. The audit may only be carried out by a Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) empanelled energy auditing firm — one with an audit team led by a BEE-accredited Energy Auditor — or by a BEE-accredited individual Energy Auditor.

Complete the detailed audit. The final report needs to set out specific recommendations along with quantitative and qualitative details, the estimated outlay, projections of energy and cost savings, and the payback period if those measures are implemented. It should also carry an executive summary, the period during which the audit was conducted, and clear conclusions and recommendations for energy conservation.

Obtain certification. The report must be duly certified by the energy auditor before it goes forward.

Submit for verification. The certified report is placed before the MSME Department for verification and approval.

Approval and release. On satisfactory review of the certified report, the eligible subsidy amount is processed and released — to the MSME or to its designated bank account.
