How to Apply for Patent Reimbursement Incentives: Karnataka Startup Policy

How to apply

Patent Reimbursement Incentives: Karnataka Startup Policy accepts applications online through the official portal on a rolling basis. Follow the steps below — and always confirm the latest details on the official source before you apply.

How to apply

Applications are submitted on the official portal. Confirm the current deadline and document checklist there before you start.

Selection process

Submit a complete application to the Karnataka Startup Cell. The Cell first performs an initial inspection and verifies all documents. Then a Nodal Officer scrutinizes the application, conducting due diligence on claimed expenses (e.g., checking invoices from patent authorities and legal counsel). If satisfactory, the Startup Cell recommends the application to the Managing Director of KBITS for final approval. Once approved, reimbursement is typically processed within three months from the date of application.
