Who can apply
To qualify, your startup must be incubated (physically or virtually) and registered with the Karnataka Startup Cell with a valid KBITS registration number. The patent must be technology-focused—either your product or service is technology-based, or you use technology to improve an existing offering. The patent application must have been filed during the active period of the Karnataka Startup Policy. You must have already filed (or been granted) the patent and paid all government and attorney/drafting fees before submitting your claim.
Patent Reimbursement Incentives: Karnataka Startup Policy is open to startups at the idea, product, revenue and profitable stage working in agri food rural, ai saas enterprise, climate energy ev and consumer apps marketplaces. The programme is targeted at startups registered in Karnataka.
