No. This is a capital subsidy, not an equity investment, so the assistance does not buy the government a stake in your business. It is a financial incentive paid for the capital you have deployed and the jobs you have created, released in tranches over four years.

They do. Heritage hotels are treated as eligible with their investment and employment criteria halved — 50% of the standard requirements for their category. In spite of the lower bar, they remain eligible for the same category benefits as other projects.

It is disbursed in four instalments over as many years: 10% in the first year, 10% in the second, 5% in the third and 5% in the fourth. Phase-wise incentives are also available, but to keep them you must complete phase one within 2 years, phase two within 3 years and the final phase within 5 years.

Registration happens on the Madhya Pradesh Government's Invest Portal at https://sws.invest.mp.gov.in/, where you sign up as a Vendor or Investor. You choose your type of organisation, enter the firm or company name and the authorised person's name, and provide an email ID and mobile number — the User ID and password are sent to that mobile number. After logging in, you update your profile, secure the required permissions through the online single-window system, complete construction and begin commercial operations. The subsidy application is then filed online within one year of operations starting, with documents uploaded in the specified formats such as JPG for photographs, after which the Tourism Department or Board verifies everything and processes the claim.
