Integrated Logistics Facilities Scheme — Stamp Duty Reimbursement, Gujarat — Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Answers to the questions founders most often ask about Integrated Logistics Facilities Scheme — Stamp Duty Reimbursement, Gujarat — who qualifies, the funding amount, required documents and how the application works.

Frequently asked questions

What does this scheme actually pay for?

It refunds the stamp duty you paid while buying land for a new integrated logistics facility or logistics park. Nothing else is covered — the assistance is specifically tied to the stamp duty component of your land acquisition cost.

How much money will I get back?

There is no flat amount on offer. The payout varies from project to project because it is calculated from the stamp duty you actually paid on the land for your eligible unit or project.

Can I claim this if I am expanding an existing logistics facility?

No. The scheme is limited to new units and new projects. Land bought for a facility that already exists or for an expansion of an older development does not qualify for the reimbursement.

What conditions must my project meet before the money is released?

Two milestones have to be satisfied. First, all the land required for the project must have been purchased. Second, at least 40% of the project's construction must be complete. The reimbursement follows those milestones rather than the land purchase alone.

Is this a loan? Does the government take equity in my project?

Neither. It is a reimbursement — a subsidy that returns a cost you have already borne. No shareholding, equity or ownership in the project is given up in exchange, and it is not repayable like a loan.

What is the deadline for applying?

The scheme remains operative from August 2, 2021 until August 1, 2026, and applications close with it on August 1, 2026. The land purchase on which you claim the stamp duty reimbursement must also fall within that operative period.

How do I apply for the reimbursement?

You have two routes. Online, you register as a new investor on the Gujarat government's Investor Facilitation Portal (IFP), verify your email through the link sent to you, log in with your email and password, then fill in the business details and upload the mandatory documents. Offline, you submit the prescribed application form with the required documents to the Industries Commissionerate.

What happens after I file the offline application?

The Industries Commissionerate reviews it and may ask for additional details within 15 days. The file then goes to the General Manager of the District Industries Centre for a site visit and inspection report, on the basis of which a Registration Certificate may be issued. After that you apply separately for sanction, with a detailed project report and documents, and present your project to the Screening Committee.

Who reviews and finally approves my project?

The application is scrutinised by the Industries Commissionerate and then presented by you to a Screening Committee chaired by the Industries Commissioner. The committee's feedback and remarks must be addressed. Final approval rests with the Sanctioning Authority, which decides as per the scheme guidelines and the committee's recommendations.

What documents do I need to submit?

You file the prescribed application form along with the mandatory documents at the registration stage. For the subsequent sanction application you submit the prescribed format, a detailed project report and the other required documents, and your project layout plan must have been approved. The Industries Commissionerate may request any missing details within 15 days.
