Gujarat Integrated Logistics Capital Subsidy for New Logistics Parks — Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Answers to the questions founders most often ask about Gujarat Integrated Logistics Capital Subsidy for New Logistics Parks — who qualifies, the funding amount, required documents and how the application works.

Frequently asked questions

How much funding does this scheme provide?

There is no single flat figure — the assistance varies from project to project, because it is calculated against the eligible fixed capital cost that gets sanctioned, covering construction and infrastructure while excluding land. Disbursal happens in four phases at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the sanctioned project cost, and the last 15% of the eligible assistance is released only once the project is completed.

Is there a last date to apply?

No. The window is rolling — applications are accepted while the scheme remains in force, which runs from 2 August 2021 to 1 August 2026. There is no fixed deadline to beat, but the policy's end date is the outer limit.

Who is eligible for this capital subsidy?

Private developers putting up new units or projects, specifically integrated logistics facilities and logistics parks in Gujarat. The developer must hold all applicable environmental and statutory clearances, provide basic amenities such as toilets and rest areas for transport vehicle drivers, and commit to operating and maintaining the facility for a minimum of five years.

Does the scheme take equity in my project?

No. This is a capital subsidy, so no equity stake is taken and nothing has to be repaid. The money is assistance toward the project's eligible capital cost, not an investment or a loan.

Which costs does the subsidy cover?

Construction and infrastructure costs. Land cost is excluded. The project also has to be costed as per government SOR norms, and each claim must correspond to expenditure the developer has actually incurred at that point.

Can an existing logistics park apply?

No. Only new units and new projects are eligible. Facilities that already exist fall outside this component of assistance.

What conditions apply after the subsidy is sanctioned?

A few important ones. Warehouse facilities cannot be used by the developer for captive purposes — they have to be offered out. The logistics assets cannot be sold or transferred for at least five years, counted from sanction or commissioning, whichever comes later. The developer must operate and maintain the facility for a minimum of five years, and where the land is leased, a registered lease or rental deed valid for at least 10 years is required.

How do I apply — online or offline?

Both routes are open. Online, you go to the Investor Facilitation Portal at https://ifp.gujarat.gov.in/DIGIGOV/, complete the new investor registration, verify your email through the link sent to your inbox, then log in with your registered email and password to fill in business details and upload the mandatory documents. Offline, you file the prescribed application form with supporting documents at the Industries Commissionerate, which reviews it and may request missing details within 15 days before forwarding the file to the District Industries Centre for a site visit.

How is my application assessed before final approval?

After the sanction application is scrutinised — with another 15-day window for clarifications — you present the project before a Screening Committee chaired by the Industries Commissioner. The committee examines viability, alignment with the scheme's objectives and compliance with conditions, and any remarks it raises have to be addressed. The Sanctioning Authority then carries out a final review against the scheme guidelines and decides on approval.

What documents are typically needed?

The prescribed application form, a detailed project report, the approved project layout plan, proof of the applicable statutory and environmental clearances, and — if the land is leased — a registered lease or rental deed of at least 10 years. Mandatory documents are uploaded with the online application or filed with the Commissionerate in the offline route.
