Gujarat Integrated Logistics Facilities Scheme — Electricity Duty Exemption — Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions founders most often ask about Gujarat Integrated Logistics Facilities Scheme — Electricity Duty Exemption — who qualifies, the funding amount, required documents and how the application works.
Frequently asked questions
What does this scheme actually give my project?
It gives an exemption from electricity duty. Once a newly set up Integrated Logistics Facility or Logistics Park in Gujarat begins operations, it can run without paying the electricity duty it would otherwise owe.
How much funding is offered under this scheme?
There is no fixed amount. Because the benefit is a duty exemption rather than a lump-sum cheque, the value varies from project to project and depends on the electricity duty the facility would have been charged. The relief starts from the date operations commence.
Who is eligible to apply?
Private developers who are setting up a new logistics facility or logistics park in Gujarat, complete with the infrastructure and logistics services such a project needs. The unit or project must be new, and the scheme is Gujarat-only — it is not available outside the state or to facilities that are already established and operating.
Is there a minimum period for which I must run the facility?
Yes. The developer has to maintain and operate the logistics facility for at least 5 years.
Does the government take equity or a stake in my project?
No. The support is a subsidy in the form of an electricity duty exemption, so there is no equity dilution and nothing to repay.
What is the application deadline?
The scheme is in force from 2 August 2021 to 1 August 2026, and 1 August 2026 is the last date to apply.

Based on that report, a Registration Certificate may be issued.
What happens after registration?
Once the project layout plan is approved, you apply for sanction in the prescribed format with a detailed project report and the required documents. After the Industries Commissionerate scrutinises the papers and requests missing details within 15 days, you present the project to a Screening Committee chaired by the Industries Commissioner. When the committee's remarks are addressed, the Sanctioning Authority reviews the proposal against the scheme guidelines and grants approval.
