Selection process
Step 1 — Application receipt and document verification. Once an application reaches the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), it is scrutinised. If the form or the attached papers are incomplete, a query is raised with the applicant.
Step 2 — Physical inspection. After the paperwork clears verification, DITC nominates an official to inspect the entity on site. The officer checks records and documents against the operational guidelines and a predefined checklist, and must upload the inspection report to the portal within 48 hours. The entrepreneur can access the report.
Step 3 — Due diligence by Goa-IPB. A satisfactory inspection report moves the file to the Chief Executive Officer, Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB), for detailed due diligence.
Step 4 — Appraisal note. Once Goa-IPB's CEO recommends the case, DITC prepares an appraisal note for it.
Step 5 — IRC sanction. The appraisal notes go before the Incentive Review Committee (IRC), which deliberates and sanctions the claims.
Step 6 — Approval and disbursement. Acting on the IRC's recommendations, DITC prepares the approval note for the Accounts Department to release the incentive. Sanctioned claims are arranged chronologically and paid out under established procedures, on a first-come, first-served basis.
