The reimbursement is capped at ₹5,00,000 per eligible unit. That is the ceiling for the claim as a whole, not a per-certificate figure, so a unit that obtains several certificates during the policy period can still apply them against the same ₹5,00,000 limit.

The policy names ISO, HACCP, BIS, WHO-GMP, ZED, TS, COPC, eSCM and Hallmark, and it also extends to any other quality or product-specific certificate recognised by the government. There is no fixed closing date — the scheme runs on a rolling basis. Applications can be submitted quarterly, half-yearly or annually after the certification expenditure has been incurred.

The incentive can be claimed once for any number of certifications obtained during the policy period. In other words, one claim can bundle several certificates, but the total reimbursement cannot cross ₹5,00,000 and payouts depend on the budget available under the scheme.

Neither DPIIT recognition nor MSME registration appears in the eligibility conditions for this scheme. What is required is an eligible entity type, operations in Goa, Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, and expenditure on a qualifying quality or product certification.

Applications are made online through the Goa Online portal. You register with an email ID and mobile number verified by OTP, create a login name and password, and then go to Services followed by IT Services to open the scheme's application form. After filling in the mandatory fields and uploading the required documents, you submit the form and receive a unique registration number to use for future reference.

Applications are scrutinised against a checklist within 30 days of receipt, the Empowered Committee is expected to approve within 60 days, and the final decision — a sanction order or a rejection — along with disbursement typically happens within 90 days of the application being received.
