How to Apply for Environment Management Project Subsidy — Up to ₹25L for Chhattisgarh MSMEs

Approval is handled by a designated committee constituted under the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30. The journey from application to payout runs through the following stages.

• Document screening: an initial check that the application and supporting papers comply with the scheme's eligibility criteria.
• Technical and financial assessment: a detailed review of the technology proposed for adoption and the environmental benefit it is expected to deliver.
• Expert verification: specialists may be brought in to validate the claimed potential for carbon credit generation or emission reduction. Site visits and validation of cost and environmental impact claims can form part of this stage.
• Committee recommendation: the assessment committee forwards its recommendation for final approval.
• Approval and sanction: the competent authority grants sanction.
• Disbursement: the subsidy — 50% of eligible machinery cost, up to ₹25 lakh — is released as a reimbursement, either in phases or as a lump sum, after the project has been implemented and the expenditure verified.
