Frequently asked questions
Who is eligible to apply for the HSFDC Dairy Farming Scheme?
You need to be a resident of Haryana, belong to the Scheduled Caste category, and come from a household that falls Below Poverty Line and appears in the BPL Survey List. On top of that, your family's yearly income must not be more than ₹1,80,000 — the same figure applies whether you live in a rural or an urban area.
How much funding does the scheme provide?
A dairy farming project can be costed at up to ₹1,50,000. Of that, the Corporation gives a subsidy equal to 50% of the project cost, capped at ₹10,000. The rest is covered by a composite loan arranged through a partner bank, so the applicant is not expected to fund the whole project from personal savings.
Is the subsidy always ₹10,000?
No. ₹10,000 is the upper limit, not a flat amount. The subsidy is calculated as half of the project cost, so a project worth less than ₹20,000 draws a proportionately smaller subsidy. ₹10,000 is the most any single beneficiary can receive under this scheme.
Does the scheme take equity in my dairy business?
No. The support is structured as a subsidy plus a bank loan, and neither of those takes a stake in your venture. You remain the full owner of the dairy unit you set up.
What is the income limit for applying?
The annual income of your family must stay within ₹1,80,000. This ceiling is applied uniformly across rural and urban areas of Haryana, and it sits alongside the requirement that your household be listed Below Poverty Line.
Is there a last date to apply?
There is no closing date. The scheme runs on a rolling basis and stays open through the year, so you can register whenever your papers are ready. Applying early simply means your verification and bank sponsorship can begin sooner.
Do I need DPIIT recognition or MSME/Udyam registration?
The stated eligibility conditions for this scheme do not include DPIIT recognition or MSME (Udyam) registration. What matters is Haryana residency, Scheduled Caste category, BPL status and the family income ceiling.
What documents will I need?
The online application asks you to upload identification, address proof, income proof and your caste certificate. Since BPL listing is a core eligibility condition, evidence of that status is relevant too. At a later stage of the online flow, you are also asked to fill in surety details and upload any additional documents before the final submission.
How and where do I apply?
There are two routes. Online, you go to the HSFDC website, pick the scheme under 'Bank Tie-up Scheme', click 'Apply for Loan' and register with your name, Aadhaar number, email and mobile number along with the captcha. An OTP verification opens the application form, where you enter your details and upload documents; on submission you receive a user ID and password, which you use to log in, complete your profile, add surety details and click 'Final Submit' — after which you can print the application. Offline, applications are collected at credit camps, Open Darbars and similar events held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners across Haryana's districts, where HSFDC field staff assist applicants.
Who verifies my application, and is the loan interest-free?
HSFDC field staff first verify that you meet the residency, caste, BPL and income conditions. Your file is sponsored to a bank only after that check, and the bank carries out its own appraisal before sanctioning the loan. The scheme does not spell out a rate of interest for the loan portion, so the interest rate and repayment terms should be confirmed directly with the participating bank.
