Selection process

All applications are filed online through the Shilpasathi Portal. From there, the case moves to a dedicated committee or review panel constituted by the Department of MSME and Textiles, Government of West Bengal, or to an agency appointed for the purpose.

The panel's role is verification rather than competition — there is no ranking or pitch round. It examines the application and the supporting documents to confirm that the unit genuinely meets the scheme's conditions: MSME classification, manufacturing activity, the date of commencement of commercial production, and the validity of the term loan taken from a recognised financial institution.

Where the details submitted align with the scheme guidelines, the enterprise is approved for the interest subsidy. Once Form-A is submitted, the portal issues an application reference number, which the applicant should retain in order to track the status of the case.
