How to Apply for UP Quality Certification & Patent Reimbursement — Up to ₹1.375 Crore

Every claim moves through a defined chain of review before any money is released.

• Startup Review Committee of Experts (SRCE): the application is examined first by the SRCE, which records its recommendation.
• Project Implementation Unit (PIU): working from that recommendation, the PIU sanctions expenditure of up to ₹50 lakh.
• Executive Committee (EC): where the claim exceeds ₹50 lakh, the PIU consults the EC and the two jointly make a recommendation.
• Hon. Cabinet: claims above ₹50 lakh then require approval from the Hon. Cabinet.
• Disbursement: once approvals are complete, the eligible amount is paid out to the startup.

In short, smaller claims are cleared at the PIU level, while larger ones travel a longer route because they need sign-off at the cabinet stage.
