Selection process
There is no competitive shortlisting round here. Assessment begins with the central PLI sanction itself, which establishes that the undertaking qualifies for the scheme at all.
From there, the applicant files a request with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the designated state authority takes up the review. That review covers three things:
- Verifying the applicant's status and receipts under the Government of India PLI Scheme.
- Confirming that the applicant meets every applicable provision of the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment & Employment Promotion Policy 2022.
- Checking that the documentation submitted is accurate, complete and in order.
Once these checks are cleared, the top-up is approved for disbursement to the undertaking.
