How to Apply for UP Food Processing Capital Subsidy — 25% Capex Support Up to ₹1 Crore

Applications go through the channel laid down by the Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Industry Policy 2022-2027.

• Submission: the unit prepares an application package and files it with the designated state authority, normally the Department of Food Processing or its nodal agency. Submission is made through the state's Nivesh Mitra portal or, where the policy guidelines allow, in physical form.
• Documents: the package generally includes a detailed project report describing the proposed expansion or modernisation, invoices and other proof of the expenditure actually incurred on plant and machinery and technical civil work, company registration papers, financial statements, and a No Objection Certificate where one is required.
• Preliminary scrutiny: officials first check that the application is complete and that the unit meets the basic eligibility conditions.
• Detailed appraisal: projects that clear the first screen go on to fuller examination and verification of the claimed capital expenditure.
• Committee decision: a committee constituted for the Food Processing Industry Policy reviews the unit's eligibility, the nature of the project and the verified spend. Approval and release of funds follow the committee's assessment and depend on the budget available.
