How to Apply for Transport Subsidy for SC/ST Exporting Units — Up to ₹3 Crore

This is a claims-based scheme, so there is no pitch deck, panel or competitive shortlisting. Applications are assessed on verification of facts and documents.

The designated authority first confirms that the unit genuinely qualifies — that it is owned by a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe entrepreneur, that it is engaged in exporting goods, and that the products concerned are not mining-related. This establishes whether the unit is entitled to the benefit at all.

The claim itself is then scrutinised to test the authenticity of the transportation costs submitted. Documentation is cross-referenced — transport invoices, export declarations and business registration details are checked against one another to confirm that the freight was actually incurred, that it relates to eligible movement, and that the terms and conditions set out in the 'Special Package for SC/ST Entrepreneurs' policy have been satisfied.

Once a claim clears verification and is approved, the reimbursement is released. Applying the same validation to every application is what keeps the distribution of the benefit transparent and fair across claimants.
