The Forum Accelerator — Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility

The Forum Accelerator is open to idea · product-stage startups registered in India. The full eligibility criteria — qualifying sectors, states and entity types — are below.

Who can apply

The Forum Accelerator is designed for specific types of startups and founders:

  • Applicants must be B2B software companies. This specialization ensures highly tailored mentorship, network connections, and operational support specific to the enterprise software market.
  • Startups should be in the early-stage (pre-seed) of their journey. This focus allows the accelerator to provide foundational support and strategic guidance at a critical juncture.
  • Companies must have, or be about to have, an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) in the market. This demonstrates initial product development and readiness to engage with early customers.
  • Startups must have secured less than ₹45,000,000 in prior funding. This criterion ensures the accelerator's investment and equity stake are meaningful for the startup's current stage, often making Forum Ventures the first institutional investor.
  • Ideal founders are passionate about their product, demonstrate strong founder-market fit, and actively seek fractional co-founder guidance. They should be deeply committed to their vision and open to collaborative, hands-on support.
  • Founders should be driven, coachable, and eager to leverage the extensive network and resources provided by Forum Ventures.
  • The program is open to founders globally, offering remote participation. Optional access to office spaces is available in Toronto, New York City, and San Francisco for those who prefer an in-person environment.
