How to Apply for Technology Upgradation Subsidy (Special Category) — Up to ₹7.5 Cr for AP MSMEs

Every application goes through a screening by a committee set up by the Department of Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The committee examines whether the unit is eligible, the nature and scope of the proposed technology upgradation or expansion, how much of the investment qualifies as Fixed Capital Investment, and the likely impact of the project on the state's textile sector.

Financial viability carries weight. Projects whose numbers hold up and which fit the policy's twin aims — modernisation and inclusive growth — are the ones prioritised when subsidy is allocated.

Since the scheme runs on a rolling window rather than a fixed deadline, applications are taken up as they come in rather than against a single closing date.
