Frequently asked questions

What exactly is Takshak?

Takshak is a national marketing case study competition run by Krishi Chanakya, the annual management and agribusiness festival of the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad. MBA students form teams, clear a quiz, and then work on a genuine marketing case study for a brand, with the best teams presenting on campus.

Who is eligible to participate?

Any student currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) can take part. You need to register as a team of 2 to 3 members, and all members must be from the same institute. The challenge is national in scope, so there is no restriction by state, city, or specialisation.

How much can a team win?

The winning team receives ₹20,000 and the runner-up gets ₹15,000, making a total cash prize pool of ₹35,000. Teams that reach the national final round also receive a certificate.

What is the application deadline?

Registration opens on 25 July 2026 and closes on 10 August 2026. You need to complete your entry on the official Unstop page within that window before submissions are shut.

Does Takshak take equity or ask for any investment?

No. Takshak is a competition, not a funding programme, so the prizes are outright cash awards. There is no equity stake, repayment, or investment component involved for participating teams.

How do we apply for the challenge?

Applications are made through the official Unstop listing for Takshak. Registration opens on 25 July 2026 and shuts on 10 August 2026, and only the team leader is permitted to submit on behalf of the team.

What happens in each round of the competition?

Round 1 is a 30-minute quiz of 25 questions on core financial modeling concepts, with free navigation between questions. Round 2 is an eliminative abstract submission, where teams receive a real-world marketing case study and submit a 3 to 5 slide presentation with their strategic solution, excluding the Intro and Thank You slides. Round 3 is the final, where the top teams are invited to campus to present live before a panel of judges.

Can our college send more than one team?

Yes. There is no cap on the number of registrations from a single institution, so several teams from the same campus can enter. The only limits are that a team must have 2 to 3 members from that same institute, and an individual participant can be part of only one entry.

Can one person be on two teams or submit twice?

No. Each participant is allowed only one entry, so you cannot appear on multiple teams. Also, submissions on Unstop can be made only by the team leader, which keeps one authorised point of contact for each team.

Is the competition online or on campus?

The challenge is listed with an online format for the earlier stages, where teams take the quiz and send in their abstract presentation. The final round requires shortlisted teams to travel to campus and present their solution live before the judging panel.
