Selection process
Applications are accepted online only, through the Seva Sindhu Portal. After a form is submitted, the personal details, address particulars and bank account information entered are checked against the scheme's eligibility conditions — caste, age, family income, any earlier government scheme benefit and family employment status.
The review sits with the Karnataka State Leather Industries Development Corporation and the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka. Once a form is filed, the portal issues an Application ID, which indicates that the case moves into internal verification.
Applications that clear verification are approved, and the subsidy is then disbursed to the beneficiary. The Application ID is also the reference an applicant uses to track the file on the portal.
