Selection process

The process runs from the District Industries Centre to the bank, in this order:

  1. Application submission: the prescribed form (Annexure-I), a Detailed Project Report and supporting documents go to the General Manager at the District Industries Centre (DIC) in Gangtok or Jorethang.
  2. Committee review: a Selection Committee made up of representatives from relevant government departments and banks examines each proposal for viability and for alignment with the scheme's objectives.
  3. Forwarding to the bank: once the committee clears a project, it is sent to the designated bank for loan sanctioning.
  4. Entrepreneur Development Training: the applicant completes the mandatory 3-day training.
  5. Disbursement: the loan is released only after the training is done.
