How to Apply for Rajasthan Plastic Alternatives Subsidy: Up to ₹40 Lakh for MSMEs

Approval is not automatic. Every application is assessed by a committee constituted under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024.

1. Familiarise yourself with RIPS 2024. Read the policy guidelines to confirm the eligibility conditions and the current application procedure before you begin.
2. Assemble the application. Put together business registration proofs, MSME Udyam registration, records of the capital investment you have made, a project report describing your plastic-alternative manufacturing plans, and financial statements.
3. File with the designated authority. Submit the completed form and supporting documents to the nodal agency handling the scheme — the Department of Industries or its equivalent — following the RIPS 2024 route.
4. Verification and scrutiny. Officials examine the submission, which can include site visits and a check of the capital investment claimed.
5. Approval and disbursement. Once the competent committee clears the application, the sanctioned subsidy is released to the unit on the terms set by the scheme.

The committee's evaluation centres on four things: confirmation of MSME status, the nature of the manufacturing activity (specifically whether plastic alternatives are being produced), the actual capital investment made, and compliance with all policy guidelines. Shortlisting and final approval follow from that complete assessment of the application and its supporting documents.
