How to Apply for Subsidy for Quality Certification — Up to ₹2L for Puducherry Units

The Directorate of Industries is the first checkpoint. Each application is scrutinised there to confirm that the unit meets the scheme's conditions and to calculate the admissible subsidy amount against the published guidelines, including whether the supporting documents are complete and in order.

Cases that clear this review then move forward, together with the Directorate's recommendations, to the State Level Committee. The committee takes up each case on its merits, decides whether the unit qualifies for the incentive, and settles the final quantum of subsidy to be granted.

This two-step route — departmental scrutiny followed by committee decision — is what keeps outcomes consistent with the scheme's stated objectives.
