Productisation Grant — Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility

Productisation Grant is open to product-stage startups registered in India. The full eligibility criteria — qualifying sectors, states and entity types — are below.

Who can apply

To be eligible for the Productisation Grant, startups must be actively engaged in the product development stage, specifically working on converting a Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) into a market-ready offering. This requires the startup to possess a functional prototype demonstrating core features, with the grant intended to support further development towards a robust commercial launch.

The applying entity must be formally incorporated as either a Private Limited company or a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), maintaining active status with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). This ensures legal compliance and a structured business foundation.

Applicants must own an innovative, technology-based product, emphasizing the grant's focus on proprietary technological solutions rather than service-oriented or generic business models. Furthermore, possession of a valid KSUM Unique ID is mandatory at the time of application, serving as a key identifier within the Kerala startup ecosystem.

Startups that have previously secured an Idea Grant are only eligible to claim the remaining balance of the Productisation Grant. A commitment of 20% of the approved grant amount as margin money is also required from the startup, which becomes applicable during the second tranche disbursement. This demonstrates the startup's financial commitment and encourages responsible use of the grant funds.

Productisation Grant is open to startups at the product stage working in ai saas enterprise and deeptech electronics robotics. The programme is targeted at startups registered in Kerala. Applicants should be registered as private limited and llp.
