The subsidy is worked out on a project cost of ₹6.5 crore. General category applicants get 40% of that cost, which comes to ₹2.6 crore. There is no fixed deadline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so you can apply whenever your land papers, training certificate and Detailed Project Report or Self-Contained Proposal are ready.

There are no government charges for the scheme. A service charge of ₹10 applies for online applications on the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal, and for services availed at Atal Seva Kendras.

Sign in with those credentials, open the Scheme/Services list, select the PMMSY Fish Feed Plants scheme, click Apply for Service/Scheme, fill in the application form and submit it. A State-level evaluation committee reviews the completeness and quality of your Detailed Project Report or Self-Contained Proposal, verifies your land ownership or lease documents and checks the authenticity of your training certificate. It also considers your commitment to operate and maintain the plant and to supply affordable feed, and assesses the project's technical and financial viability, its impact on aquaculture and how well it fits PMMSY objectives.
