How to Apply for Odisha Renewable Energy Surcharge Exemption: 100% Relief for 10 Years

Applications are examined by the relevant department of the Government of Odisha. Two things are verified:

• Whether the unit satisfies the eligibility conditions — Thrust Sector status, commercial production inside the state, and the nature and source of its renewable energy procurement.
• The date on which commercial production using renewable energy began, because that date fixes the start of the 10-year benefit window.

Once the department is satisfied that the criteria are met, the exemption or reimbursement is applied across the full 10-year period.
