Selection process
- Confirm you qualify — check that your enterprise is an eligible MSME in Maharashtra and that it is having a water audit carried out.
- Commission the audit — appoint a qualified professional or agency to conduct it, and retain the report, invoices and payment records.
- Prepare documentation — assemble proof of MSME registration, the audit report, invoices from the audit service provider, proof of payment, and any other forms the Maharashtra Industries Investment and Services Policy 2025 calls for.
- Submit the application — apply online for the 'Incentive for Water Audit' through the Government of Maharashtra's MAITRI portal, uploading all supporting documents.
- Verification — the concerned authorities review the submission, and you may be asked for additional information or clarification.
