Selection process
There is no competition, no pitch and no scoring round. Approval rests on eligibility and paperwork.
- Get certified first. The MSME obtains ZED certification from an authorised certifying body before any claim can be filed.
- File the claim online. The reimbursement application is submitted through the designated portal, typically reached via the MAITRI portal or the official website of the Maharashtra Department of Industries.
- Submit the supporting documents. A completed claim form goes in along with the ZED certification, original invoices and receipts for the fees paid, proof of UDYAM registration and bank account details for the transfer.
- Document scrutiny. A review committee or department within the state government checks every submission for accuracy and compliance with the policy guidelines.
- Approval and disbursement. Once the documents clear verification, the reimbursement is approved and the amount is released.
Claims are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the budget available under the Maharashtra Industries Investment and Services Policy 2025. Nothing is decided on the strength of a business plan or a presentation — completeness and correctness of the application are what matter.
