Selection process

There is no competition, no pitch and no scoring round. Approval rests on eligibility and paperwork.

  1. Get certified first. The MSME obtains ZED certification from an authorised certifying body before any claim can be filed.
  2. File the claim online. The reimbursement application is submitted through the designated portal, typically reached via the MAITRI portal or the official website of the Maharashtra Department of Industries.
  3. Submit the supporting documents. A completed claim form goes in along with the ZED certification, original invoices and receipts for the fees paid, proof of UDYAM registration and bank account details for the transfer.
  4. Document scrutiny. A review committee or department within the state government checks every submission for accuracy and compliance with the policy guidelines.
  5. Approval and disbursement. Once the documents clear verification, the reimbursement is approved and the amount is released.

Claims are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the budget available under the Maharashtra Industries Investment and Services Policy 2025. Nothing is decided on the strength of a business plan or a presentation — completeness and correctness of the application are what matter.
