Selection process
Claims are handled by the Directorate of Industries on a rolling basis, and the applicant drives each step.
- File the claim online. Applications are submitted through the MAITRI portal (Maharashtra Industry, Trade and Investment Facilitation Cell) at maitri.maharashtra.gov.in.
- Attach the evidence. A claim needs proof of the IPR registration — for example a patent grant certificate or a trademark registration certificate — plus invoices and receipts for the expenses, and documents establishing that the unit is set up and operating in Maharashtra.
- Departmental verification. The submitted application and documents are reviewed and checked by the relevant government department. This may involve a site visit or a request for additional information.
- Approval and disbursement. Once verification is complete and the claim is approved, the eligible reimbursement is paid into the unit's registered bank account.
