Who can apply
To be eligible for the Patent Filing Cost Reimbursement program, startups must meet several key criteria:
- The startup must be officially registered and primarily operating from Jharkhand. This ensures the program directly benefits businesses contributing to the state's economy and innovation landscape.
- The startup's annual turnover must not exceed ₹25 Crore as per its latest financial statements. This threshold is set to specifically support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and early-stage companies.
- The startup must be less than 5 years old since its incorporation date. This condition focuses support on nascent businesses during their critical initial growth phases.
- The startup must have a maximum of 50 employees, further defining the target group as smaller, agile ventures.
- The patent for which reimbursement is sought must be legally filed in and owned by the startup's name, ensuring the intellectual property rights directly benefit the applying entity and are central to its innovation efforts.
