Selection process
- Policy review and paperwork. The applicant studies the FPP 4.0 document in full, then assembles a detailed project report covering the business plan, financial projections, proof of MSME registration, land or building ownership/lease records, and technical specifications of the machinery proposed.
- Online submission. The application goes in through the online portal maintained by the Andhra Pradesh Industries Department or its nodal agency, with every form filled accurately and supporting documents uploaded.
- Scrutiny. Officials run a first screening for completeness and basic eligibility; additional information or clarifications may be sought from the applicant at this point.
- Field inspection. A team from the department or an appointed agency visits the proposed or existing site to verify the particulars declared and assess the project on the ground.
- Technical and financial appraisal. Experts from the Industries Department, often assisted by specialist agencies, examine the project's feasibility, its likely impact, and whether the declared fixed capital investment is genuine.
- Committee review. The project report, appraisal findings and inspection report are placed before a State Level Sanctioning Committee made up of representatives from various government departments and technical experts, which evaluates the case and makes its recommendation.
- Sanction and disbursement. The final decision rests with the competent authority of the state government; once approved, the subsidy is sanctioned and paid out in tranches over the specified two-year period, against agreed milestones.
