How to Apply for Development of Handicrafts — Exhibition Support for Puducherry Artisans

This is not a competition-style funding round. There are no pitch panels, scoring rounds or shortlisting stages described; the component operates on an entitlement basis, where a craftsperson who satisfies the eligibility conditions and files a properly documented application is registered for the benefit.

In practice, the check comes down to two things: confirming that the applicant is a Puducherry resident holding a handicraft unit, and verifying that the application form and the attached documents are complete and in order.

Once a valid application reaches the District Industries Centre, its details are entered in the application receipt register and a unique number is allotted to the applicant. That number serves as the acknowledgement of submission and is the reference to quote for any later follow-up or status enquiry.

Since the support is framed as a reimbursement, the eligible claims relate to costs incurred for attending an exhibition.
