How to apply
Applications are submitted on the . Confirm the current deadline and document checklist there before you start.
Selection process
Applications are made online through the I-Khedut portal and only become valid once the confirmed form and supporting documents are submitted physically.
Once received, each application is examined by the technical officer of the concerned department. The officer checks that the paperwork is complete and that the applicant meets the eligibility conditions — in particular, that she is a Scheduled Tribe woman from Gujarat.
If the number of eligible applicants is larger than the slots on offer, the department prioritises. Scheduled Tribe widows and abandoned women are placed ahead of other applicants, so that the most vulnerable women in the target group are served first.
After an application is provisionally approved, the beneficiary gets 90 days to establish the goat unit. If that deadline is missed, or if the beneficiary is found to be disabled, the approval is cancelled and the chance passes to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list. This keeps the scheme's resources in use and the benefits flowing to applicants who can act in time.
