A project can receive up to ₹35 lakh, and that ceiling applies across the board. The share of cost covered varies: an MSME implementing cleaner production technology can get up to 35% of its plant and machinery cost, while a large project gets up to 10%. An industry or unit registered under the relevant industrial laws of Gujarat is eligible, provided it complies with existing environmental regulations and standards, is engaged in manufacturing or production activity, and is undertaking a project focused on environmental protection measures. Two broad types. The first is cleaner production technology — things like substituting raw materials, cutting down water and energy consumption, or minimising waste. The second covers other environment management projects that use clean, efficient and innovative pollution control equipment.
