Selection process

The selection follows a defined pipeline as per the application stages:

  1. Application Submission: Submit your idea via the official Google Form with details, founder information, and supporting documents.
  2. Shortlisting: The GIF team screens applications for scientific merit, technology fit, and commercialization potential.
  3. Pitching: Shortlisted applicants are invited to pitch their idea to the GIF panel (comprising technical and business members) and DST evaluators.
  4. Panel Evaluation: The panel assesses pitches on innovation, impact, feasibility, and team capability.
  5. Grant Award & Onboarding: Selected innovators are awarded the ignition grant and onboarded into GIF's incubation programme.
