How do I apply, and where do I submit the form?
You apply online on the I-Khedut portal using the 'Apply Newly' option, and then confirm the application within seven days — failing to confirm can lead to cancellation. Scanned supporting documents must be uploaded in PDF format, with each file not exceeding 200 KB. After that, take a printout of the confirmed form, sign it or affix your thumb impression, and submit it with the documents to a nearby veterinary dispensary within seven days. Alternatively, you can scan the signed printout and upload it through the 'Signed Application Print Upload' option, with other papers going through 'Other Document Upload'.
How long should I run the unit, and what records do I need to keep?
The goat unit should generally be operated for at least 3 years. You also need to provide a photograph with the unit and maintain records of milk production, which the department's technical officers will check when they visit.
What happens after my application is approved?
You receive an approval order. If an approved beneficiary does not establish the goat unit within 90 days, or becomes disabled, the approval may be passed on to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list.
