Selection process
Applications pass through several layers of review before any money is released.
- Submission: the enterprise files its application through the designated online portal, or with the District Trade and Industries Centre (DTIC), following the guidelines of the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30.
- Screening: officials first check that the application is complete and meets the basic eligibility conditions set out in the policy.
- Technical assessment: a committee drawing members from environmental departments and the Department of Industries evaluates the proposed machinery and how far it can generate fresh carbon credits or reduce existing ones.
- Financial and sustainability review: the same committee weighs the project's financial viability and the applicant's overall commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Due diligence: shortlisted projects may be subject to site visits and direct interactions with the applicant.
- Final approval: sanction rests with the state-level committee.
- Disbursement: after approval, and once the machinery has been purchased and installed, the subsidy is paid out — usually as reimbursement.
